Mechanical and thermophysical properties of cement mortars including bio-based microencapsulated phase change materials

چکیده
This study investigates the mechanical and thermophysical performance of cement mortars incorporating microencapsulated phase change materials (mPCMs), which consist an aqueous dispersion 100% bio-based fine core–shell particles. A specific protocol was used to manufacture mortar samples, ensures a homogeneous particle distribution prevents microcapsule leakage. The addition mPCMs causes both decrease in density, increase porosity, substantial loss strength. Conversely, hot-disk characterization revealed large improvement thermal performance. system containing 8 wt% exhibits good balance between its properties.
